The device further includes a light-guide plate disposed in the auxiliary emission region when viewed in the viewing direction; and a first light source disposed adjacent to the light-guide plate and configured to emit light in a first direction to supply the light to the light-guide plate. An imaginary straight line extending from the first light source in the first direction is tilted with respect to the side edge while not crossing the side edge.
