The method of displaying a contact list is applied on an apparatus with a touch sensitive display, comprising: detecting a touch on the touch sensitive display, after receiving an instruction for opening a contact list; determining a touch position, when detecting the touch on the touch sensitive display; and determining a large contact group corresponding to the touch position, and displaying contacts in the large contact group by the touch sensitive display.
