A second sensing portion is configured to output the second sense signal when the sheet is absent at a second sensing position separated from the first sensing position in a width direction perpendicular to a conveying direction of the sheet, and output the first sense signal when the sheet is present at the second sensing position. A sensing control portion is configured to sense a plurality of states in accordance with a combination of the first sense signal and the second sense signal.
