Abstract:
A method, system and a computer readable medium to compute geometric reflectivity enhancement (GRE) distributions based on seismic data are disclosed. The GRE distributions may be derived from absolute values of a seismic trace amplitude and a quadrature signal obtained by computing the Hilbert transform of the seismic trace amplitude. The derived GRE distributions preserve zero crossings and peaks of the seismic amplitude data.
