The input shaft couples the carrier of gearset (P1) and can couple, via clutch (15), shaft (5), which couples the sun gear of gearset (P3) and can couple, via clutch (57), shaft (7) that couples the ring gear of gearset (P3). Shaft (6) couples the ring and sun gears of respective gearsets (P1, P2). Shaft (8) couples the carrier and the sun gear of respective gearsets (P3, P4). Shaft (4) couples the carrier of gearset (P4) and can couple, via brake (04), the housing. The output shaft couples the ring gear of gearset (P4) and the carrier of gearset (P2). Clutch (56) detachably connects shafts (5, 6).
