Abstract:
A pacing system and method for determining information related to a state of a call queue of an automatic call distributor (ACD). The information is based on a number of calls in the ACD queue waiting to be connected to a live agent. The pacing system and method controls a number of outbound calls being made by the IVR based system to a number of end users based on the information related to the ACD queue state.
