In the terminal cycles of DRX with different lengths are combined in a hierarchy manner to determine an intermittent operation period. Upper DRX in the hierarchy has a longer cycle than lower DRX. A period using a cycle of the immediately lower DRX is determined based on information on the cycle of the upper DRX. An intermittent operation of a communication processing unit is controlled based on information on the cycle of DRX in a period using information on a cycle of the lowermost DRX.
