Based on pressure information which is detected by the pressure detecting unit, the correcting unit performs at least one of a correction of elastic wave transmitted/received signals relevant to the elastic wave transmitting/receiving unit and a correction of the transmission/reception characteristics of the elastic wave transmitting/receiving unit.
