The gradation characteristic determination unit determines, on the basis of the acquired pieces of color information, whether or not a setting of color adjustment that is performed in the display device satisfies a predetermined gradation characteristic. The change instruction output unit outputs an instruction to change the setting of color adjustment in the case where the gradation characteristic determination unit determines that the setting of color adjustment does not satisfy the predetermined gradation characteristic.
