The display unit includes a plurality of pixels having first to third sub-pixels each of which corresponds to respective colors of red, green, and blue, and a fourth sub-pixel exhibiting higher luminance than the first to third sub-pixels. In each of the pixels, the first to fourth sub-pixels have light-emitting devices. In the first to third sub-pixels, color filters are provided, and in the fourth sub-pixel, the transmittance of light emitted from the light-emitting device is configured to be reduced at a partial or whole region of the fourth sub-pixel. A difference in the transmittance among the first to third sub-pixels having the color filters and the fourth sub-pixel having no color filter is reduced to ensure an excellent luminance balance, which makes it easy to represent desired chromaticity.
