The system can receive an alarm indication and an alarm context from a patient. A target user associated with the patient can be determined. The system can determine alarm response options to be offered to the target user. The system can transmit the alarm indication and the determined alarm response options from the alarm management system to a mobile device associated with the target user. The system can receive a response to the transmitted alarm from the target user. The system can interpret the received response to the transmitted alarm. The model of response behavior associated with the target user can be adapted in light of the received response to the transmitted alarm.
