The damper includes windings (2) of electrically conducting material, for generating a magnetic field; a magnetic circuit (4), for conveying within it a magnetic flux generated by the windings (2); a power supply (8), for supplying the windings (2) of electrically conducting material; the power supply (8) of the electromagnetic damper (1) is positioned inside the rotating machine (100).
