An image management apparatus comprises an input unit which inputs a first image and a second image; a storage unit which stores the first image and the second image in association with each other; a selection unit which selects an image to be deleted out of the first and second images; and a control unit which performs control such that, in a case where the first image is selected by the selection unit, an option of deleting the second image stored in association with the first image is presented, and subsequently processing for deleting the first image is performed, and in a case where an instruction to delete the second image is received, processing for deleting the second image is performed without presenting an option of deleting the first image stored in association with the second image.
