The circuit arrangement may include: a processing circuit configured to receive a pre-processed signal at a first data rate during a first time period, the processing circuit further configured to perform a communications network search by processing the pre-processed signal at a first processing clock frequency during the first time period, and to perform the communications network search by processing the pre-processed signal at a second processing clock frequency during a second time period, wherein the second time period commences after the first time period, and wherein the second processing clock frequency is greater than the first processing clock frequency.
