A decoded video signal is supplied through a signal line to the television receiver apparatus. Video processing time of the television receiver apparatus is obtained by a delay-information obtaining unit through a signal line. An audio-signal delaying unit delays an audio signal decoded by the audio-signal decoding unit in accordance with the video processing time obtained by the delay-information obtaining unit and outputs the audio signal to a speaker.
