The power supply device is designed as a switched-mode power supply and has an intermediate circuit, a control device for controlling the switched-mode power supply, and a secondary unit. The power supply device provides an output-side operating voltage at the output thereof in an operating state and provides an output-side idle voltage at the output in an idle state.
