The dryer further includes a basement (8, 108) having a condensate draining path (21, 121) for conveying moisture condensed from drying air towards a reservoir (24, 124). At least one condensate retaining region (29A, 29B; 129A, 129B) is provided in the condensate draining path (21, 121) and/or on reservoir (24, 124) thereby forming a liquid trap for preventing drying air dispersing along path (21, 121) from entering reservoir (24, 124).
