The extraction unit extracts feature values by performing a morphological analysis on each of the first and second texts. The detection unit compares a first feature value of a first difference string and a second feature value of a second difference string. The presentation unit presents correction candidate(s) according to the second feature value. The selection unit selects one of the correction candidates in accordance with an instruction from a user.
