The steering knuckle is formed as an axle tube in which a drive shaft is rotatably mounted, the drive shaft being able to be brought into a driving connection to the rotor of the electric motor at the inner end of the shaft and to the input of the gearbox at the outer end of the shaft when it is to perform driving.
