When uncoupled from the press, the collector wagon is filled with compressible material at a location at a distance from the press. The feeder device is designed such that the compressible material to be pressed present in the collector wagon, after the upward movement of at least the floor, is gradually gripped and continuously removed from the collector wagon from above, and fed to the press.
