A preacher curl exercise machine with an air filled bladder or other resilient member which provides a support surface for a user exercising thereon. A resilient member can be shaped according to the needs of the exercise to be performed. The resilient nature of the cushion limits bottoming out providing a true cushion support rather than laying on a hard surface.
