Embodiments may include a printhead assembly that is structured to be removably received into a printhead guide and movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The printhead assembly may include a cooling channel configured to receive a cooling air flow. The printhead assembly may be easily removed from a media processing device and, when installed, engaged with the platen in response to a lid of the media processing device being closed.
