The connecting portion and the pair of leg portions define top and bottom surfaces configured and adapted to engage first and second vertebral bodies, respectively, and inner and outer sidewalls extending between the top and bottom surfaces. In particular, the top and bottom surfaces of the leg portions include first projections defining a first angle with the respective top and bottom surfaces of the leg portions. The top and bottom surfaces of the connecting portion include second projections defining a second angle with the respective top and bottom surfaces of the connecting portion. The first and second angles are different.
