A method of the present invention comprises displaying an indication of an option to start the game and receiving an input indicating to start the game. The method includes displaying a list of players intended to participate in an actual event to occur in the actual sporting contest and receiving an input indicating a first selection of at least one of the players. The method includes receiving real-time data from the actual sporting contest including a first actual result for the first actual event. The method includes displaying an indication of the first actual result and determining a virtual result in the game based on the first actual result.
