A control unit controls processing for establishing a connection with an image capturing device, and transmitting position information included in the log data to the image capturing device, to add the position information to images recorded on the image capturing device. The control unit performs control so that position information acquired after a predetermined timing, out of position information acquired during connection with the image capturing device, is not transmitted to the image capturing device. The position acquisition unit acquires the plurality of position information before the connection with the image capturing device is established and while the connection with the image capturing device is established.
