An image recording method includes recording an intermediate image by applying an ink to an intermediate transfer body and transferring the intermediate image onto a recording medium while heating the intermediate image. The ink contains a coloring material and polymer fine particles which are a mixture of a crystalline polymer and an amorphous polymer. In transferring the intermediate image, the intermediate image is heated to a temperature equal to or higher than a melting point of the crystalline polymer and equal to or higher than a glass transition point of the amorphous polymer.
