The optical fiber holding apparatus includes a holding member with a first holding portion and a second holding portion. One of the first holding portion and the second holding portion includes at least one positioning pillar, and the other holding portion defines at least one positioning hole corresponding to the positioning pillar. The positioning pillar is configured to wind the clad strips locking the first holding portion and the second holding portion cooperatively to the optical fiber, and the positioning pillar is engaged with the positioning hole.
