In particular, the present invention relates to a method and apparatus for transmitting channel quality information using a terminal, wherein the method comprises the steps of: receiving CoMP configuration information from a serving transmission point; receiving a downlink signal from a plurality of transmission points; and transmitting channel quality information on one or more downlink sub-bands for each transmission point to the serving transmission point, wherein the plurality of transmission points select the same one or more downlink sub-bands in consideration of the CoMP configuration information.
