The developing unit is configured to develop the electrostatic latent image into a toner image. The transferer transfers the toner image onto a recording medium. The fixer heat fixes the toner image to the recording medium. The determiner determines a state of at least one of a temperature and a humidity inside the image forming apparatus. The blower generates airflow inside the image forming apparatus. The controller reduces the airflow volume of the blower based on a determination result of the determiner as the degree of the occurrence of dew condensation increases.
