A method is provided that includes receiving response configuration information, receiving at least one indication of at least one occurrence of at least one triggering event, and receiving information regarding at least one peripheral device. The method further includes determining, based at least in part on the information regarding the at least one peripheral device and the response configuration information, at least one configured responsive action and performing at least one authorization procedure. The method even further includes determining, based at least in part on the at least one authorization procedure, whether the at least one configured responsive action is authorized, and, in an instance in which the at least one configured responsive action is authorized, causing the at least one configured responsive action to be automatically performed.
