The invention relates to a method and a system for the generation of a source code for a computer program for the execution and simulation of a process, comprising the following steps: analysis of a process description in which a process is presented in the form of at least one matrix (S-PM) wherein, in the matrix, subjects and process phases are linked to actions in such a way that it is determined by the matrix which actions are executed by which subject in the respective process phases, wherein with the aid of predetermined rules during analysis, messages are generated which are exchanged between the subjects, and automatic generation of a source code with the aid of the information contained in the matrix on the subjects and actions and with the aid of the messages determined by the analysis.
