More specifically, the temporary holding section uses an upper side tape and a lower side tape, that respectively have one end wound onto the drum, such that accompanying rotation of the drum, the supplied banknotes are sandwiched between the tapes and the outer peripheral face. Moreover, in the temporary holding section, a movable section that presses the banknote against the drum outer peripheral face while being movable with respect to the drum is positioned with the other end further away from the drum than the facing portion.
