The backlight module comprises an outer frame and an optical component, wherein the outer frame includes a body portion and an extension portion connected with each other, the extension portion is positioned on one side of the body portion and has a first bent portion and a second bent portion integrally formed, the body portion has a central region and a periphery region surrounding the central region, the second bent portion is connected to the periphery region of the body portion through the first bent portion and extends to the central region of the body portion, such that a space for accommodating the optical component is enclosed by the first and second bent portions of the extension portion and the body portion.
