In this case, the content locating method provided by the present invention comprises: receiving by a first content delivery network CDN node a service request sent by a service control function entity or an IPTV service control function entity, wherein this service request carries a content identifier which is used to indicate requesting content corresponding to this content identifier; if the first CDN node cannot provide the content service requested by the service request, then the first CDN node sends an inquiry request to a CDN global controller so as to acquire the information about a second CDN node which can provide the content service requested by the service request and request the second CDN node to provide the content service. By way of the present invention, the pressure of the CDN global controller can be reduced and the processing delay of CDN can be shortened.
