The printing apparatus includes a feeding unit, a pair of rollers configured to nip a printing medium and to convey the printing medium fed by the feeding unit, a printing unit and a control unit. The control unit can execute successive overlapped conveyance in which the pair of rollers nip an overlapping portion between a trailing edge of a preceding printing medium and a leading edge of a succeeding printing medium and convey them. The control unit executes the successive overlapped conveyance at least on condition that printing of the preceding printing medium by the printing unit has ended.
