The first calculation unit is configured to use information on a color gamut of an image display system that is capable of displaying an image based on the image information to calculate conversion information used for converting the first color information into second color information that is expressed by a second color gamut based on a user's instruction. The conversion unit is configured to use the conversion information to convert the first color information into the second color information.
