The measurement data includes crosstalk data including at least one transfer function element of a crosstalk matrix. The transfer function element characterizes a crosstalk transfer function from the telecommunication line towards the at least one further telecommunication line, and the method includes detecting oscillations in the crosstalk transfer function.
