The system includes a first container, a second container, and a connector for providing fluid communication between the first and second containers. The connector includes at least one resilient retention member for securing the first container to the connector. In addition, the connector accommodates standard vials containing, for example, medicaments, and prevents the unwanted discharge of the contents of the vial into the environment.
