The tilting pad bearing comprises: a bearing housing 4; a plurality of pads 2 which are arranged to be pivotable with respect to the bearing housing 4; a channel 31 which is formed in each of the pads 2; a first nozzle 9 which is formed in each of the pads 2, connects with the channel 31, and is open on a rear end surface 8 of the pad 2; and a second nozzle 10 which is formed in each of the pads 2, connects with the channel 31, and is open on a rear edge part of a sliding surface 5 of the pad 2.
