Various computer-implemented methods for selective defragmentation are disclosed. In one example, an exemplary method for performing such a task may include: 1) identifying a file system, 2) tracking changes to files in the file system, 3) creating a list of changed files, and then 4) selectively defragmenting files in the list of changed files.
