An embodiment of the system can include a first permanent magnet synchronous motor coupled to a first slip coupling, a second permanent magnet synchronous motor coupled to a second slip coupling, and the first permanent magnet synchronous motor and the second permanent magnet synchronous motor can be electrically connected in parallel on a bus.
