The second detecting unit acquires movement amount of the medium using a plurality of images with different imaging times at which the medium is imaged. In the first detecting unit, a latching circuit holds a rotation amount of a driving roller totaled by a counter at a timing based on the strobe control signal. The controller controls the discharge timing of the print head based on the rotation amount and the movement amount.
