The image blurring correction apparatus generates first shake amount data based on the shake signal, and generates second shake amount data, based on the shake signal, with which a higher shake correction effect than that of the first shake amount data can be obtained. The image blurring correction apparatus selects either the first or the second shake amount data based on the shake signal, and calculates a shake correction amount that is a moving amount of the correction member using the selected shake amount data.
