A lighting arrangement is disclosed having a first light source with a dominant wavelength in the range of 505 nm to 520 nm; and a second light source having a dominant wavelength in the range of from 580 nm to 630 nm. The lighting arrangement has at least one control means for adjusting the output of the first light source independent from the light output of the second light source.The control means allows for providing an optimum spectral balance under varying luminance levels.
