The first hand-held controller comprises a first user-input surface having a first user-input key, a first grip, and a first cage having a first connector coupled to a surface of the first cage. The second hand-held controller comprises a second user-input surface having a second user-input key, a second grip, and a second cage having a second connector coupled to a surface of the second cage. The first and second connectors are configured to detachably couple the first cage to the second cage.
