The display apparatus may include a mode determining unit, which determines an operation mode of the display apparatus between a first mode and a second mode; a display unit, which includes n scan lines including first through nth scan lines; data lines; and pixels, wherein a pixel is associated with a respective scan line and a respective data line; a gate driver to output scan signals to the scan lines; and a source driver to output data signals to the data lines in synchronization with the scan signals, wherein the gate driver substantially simultaneously outputs the scan signals to an ith scan line and a (k+i)th scan line among the scan lines in the first mode, and k is a positive integer, n is equal to 2k, and i is a positive integer smaller than or equal to k.
