The method includes: detecting a characteristic parameter of an electronic device by a sensing unit of the electronic device; determining wearing position data of the electronic device based on the characteristic parameter, where the wearing position data indicates a positional relation between the electronic device and a wearer when a fixed relation between the electronic device and at least a part of body of the wearer is maintained by a fixing element of the electronic device; and controlling the electronic device to operate in a working mode matching with the wearing position data.
