A type of the communication connected mobile terminal and an operating system (OS) installed in the mobile terminal are recognized. A function for automatically searching for a first function is enabled or disabled when the mobile terminal provides the first function. The first function is performed by the in-vehicle multimedia terminal when the automatic search function is enabled. A second function is performed by the in-vehicle multimedia terminal when the automatic search function is disabled.
