The pulse control circuit receives a pulse signal and reduces the time of the pulse signal under control of a control signal, the control signal controlling the start and finish of the time reduction. A reduced pulse signal is output. The gate driver receives the pulse signal which is output and issues scanning signals to the plurality of scanning lines.
