The image forming apparatus is capable of communicating with the server via a network. The image forming apparatus requests the server to perform authentication of the image forming apparatus, and receives a result of the authentication from the server. When the received result of the authentication indicates success, favorite information including a URL of the server is registered. A button for accessing the server is displayed based on the favorite information.
